With over 15 years of experience, Marilia started her dance journey in São Paulo, mastering not only Forró but a variety of Brazilian ballroom styles. She has performed on TV shows, at Brazil’s largest dance congresses, and in competitive festivals, earning the prestigious Best Forró Teacher of the Year award twice. Since 2012, she has focused on her international career, and for over six years, she has been based in France, teaching classes, organizing events, and sharing her love for Forró across Europe.
Marilia’s teaching focuses on follower expression, musicality, and the art of connection. She emphasizes self-awareness in dance, helping participants communicate more deeply and authentically with their partners.
This year, her workshops will highlight the festival’s theme: Forró Footworking and Musicality, offering valuable insights for dancers of all levels.
